Let’s gather for a cozy January kitchen session — a hands-on Kimchi workshop where jars bubble with life and flavors develop over time. Guided by our in-house chef, Soyeon, you’ll explore the art and science of fermentation: from the lactic acid bacteria that give Kimchi its tang, to the role of salt, temperature, and time in creating vibrant, nourishing flavors.
Together, we’ll work with fresh seasonal vegetables, learning how to transform winter produce into jars of homemade Kimchi. Soyeon will share practical techniques, tips for balancing flavors, and insights into the microbiology behind this beloved Korean staple. You’ll leave with your own jar of Kimchi to continue the fermentation journey at home.
More than a workshop, this is a gentle, slow-living pause in the heart of winter. Through mindful preparation, tasting, and breathing, we’ll connect with our senses and the rhythm of the season — a small meditation that begins at your fingertips, your breath, and the tip of your tongue, bringing warmth and grounding to your midweek.
