Discover the art of Kokedama in this workshop led by Fabrizia from Youplant Amsterdam.
Kokedama is a Japanese plant technique where a plant’s roots are wrapped in a ball of soil, covered with moss, and secured with string — creating a natural alternative to using a traditional plant pot. The moss ball can be placed on a tray or suspended to create a floating garden effect. It's a simple, space-saving, and visually unique way to display plants indoors.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the step-by-step process of making a kokedama, from preparing the soil mixture to wrapping and caring for your plant. No prior experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty! Fabrizia will also provide care tips to keep your kokedama thriving. And of course you get to take home your handmade piece.
