Craft Club: Taiwanese Pastries Workshop

  • Stretch and Fold 71 Papaverhof Amsterdam, NH, 1032 KJ Netherlands (map)

As spring approaches, we invite you to welcome the season of renewal, warmth, and good fortune through the gentle craft of Korean pastry making.

In this craft club, we’ll make pineapple cakes, a beloved pastry traditionally associated with prosperity and good luck. In many cultures, pineapple symbolizes abundance and positive beginnings, making these golden pastries a perfect way to greet the changing season.

No experience is needed, everyone is welcome. Each pineapple cake is simple to make, shaped by hand, and filled with care, allowing you to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of creating.

Together, Soyeon and Ting from Sumerie (a Rotterdam-based food studio focused on soy products and tofu) will guide you through the process, sharing stories and techniques.

All materials are provided.

You’ll leave with your own handmade pastry to bring home.

Tickets:

  • €35 just the Craft Club

  • €50 including our weekly meal

Food: As Craft Club can be quite hands-on, we recommend enjoying your meal before the workshop so you can fully settle into the creative flow. You’re welcome to arrive early and order at the bar or pre-book your meal.
